What customers say?

“ The food was absolutely delicious and the serves were more than adequate. Very accommodative staff, friendly and genuine manner. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was terrific, great music playing at just the right level, not overcrowded and great temperature. We ordered the chickpea bites and squid for starters, my partner said it was the best and freshest squid he has ever eaten. For mains I went for the cauliflower skewers and my partner had the fish of the day (Barramundi) and dishes were delicious. My partner had the crispy potatoes as a side and they were so good. We will definitely be putting this great little eatery on our list as one of the best places to eat out at. ”

“ We came here to celebrate a birthday and ordered the seafood platter at Aloft. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great with fantastic views. The seafood platter was tasty, but it was a shame that everything was cold and therefore tasted a bit "meh". Seeing the price of it, I would expect it to have at least some hot food. ”

“ We were a noisy family group of six, booked in advance and with some dietary issues (vegetarians and a Coeliac) and the staff were able to warn us of what to avoid to minimise risk of experiencing a negative event due to the marked allergy. The food options were satisfying volume, presented well and tasty. The wine list was very good and we were happy with our choices that included a sparkling, pino noir and sauvignon blanc. Only half of us made it to dessert and sadly one option was not availale. The remaining options were good rather than as spectacular as the rest of the meal but by then we probably should have not been eating anyway. The view over the harbour was immediate and unimpeded we selected the area enclose at the harbour end to minimise the noise from the main dining area. ”

“ We had the Gin High Tea, it was lovely, the view, food and gin cocktails were amazing! Such a great idea and well worth the money ”

“ A good restaurant on the pier which caters for lunch and dinner. The position and view across the water is fabulous. The food is delicious and the specialty, the seafood brioche slider a knockout! The bathrooms are down stairs but this is not an issue as there are lifts for those with mobility challenges. ”

“ A Must-Visit Spot in Tasmania! This place is a gem — the view is stunning, and the food and service are top-tier. The oysters and seafood were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour, and every dish we tried was beautifully prepared. The cocktails? Absolutely top-notch! I really appreciated the menu design — clean, simple, and easy to navigate, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We visited a few other spots during our trip, but this one stood out as the clear favourite. It’s the perfect place to stop before or after a visit to the MONA museum. A special shoutout to Praveena and Bikram — their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel so welcomed. The service was truly exceptional. We even came back a second time before heading home — that’s how much we loved it. Highly recommend! ”

“ They are absolutely right about ‘great cocktail’, plus great food and customer service. The staff are very passionate about the drinks and food. You can feel it through the food, drink, and service they provide. They always give me good recommendations. I keep revisiting them and keep this place as my number 1 cocktail place in Hobart. Keep going, team. You guys are doing amazing ”

“ We landed here for dinner this evening without a booking. Fortunately they were able to take our party of 4 without issue. It was explained to us that we wouldn’t be able to have the full water view tables, but it didn’t matter. We ordered the following entree’s Braised pork belly slices Sesame and panko crumbed feta Main was Pan fried ricotta gnocchi With a side of Crispy baby potatoes tossed in black truffle mayonnaise Then dessert was Warm apple & berry crumble. Everything was amazing. The service was spot on. Couldn’t have been better. ”
